Catalogue, warranty, labour rates, parts and connectors hang off the brand, so a passenger line, a commercial line and a hybrid line each keep their own rules.

- Location kinds
- A retail branch, a parts hub, an assembly plant and a yard are different kinds of location, with different work and different rules.
- Powertrain on the vehicle
- Petrol, diesel, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, battery electric or commercial. It controls service menus and who may be assigned the work.
- Branches from the start
- One tenant is one business with as many branches as it runs. Records are scoped to their branch, and permissions follow the branch.
- One legal entity per tenant
- Different legal entities use separate tenants for now. Consolidation across entities is planned for a later release.
A second tenant is settings and data, not a new build.
Meludu is built so that adding another business or brand needs configuration, not a code fork.
