  3. Gate and release

The gate knows who may leave.

Every vehicle in and out is recorded. A car leaves only on a single-use token, checked again at the gate.

An unknown plate is never guessed at.

It stays an unresolved movement until someone reconciles it. Customer cars, stock, test drives, suppliers and courtesy cars are told apart, and every movement keeps its reason, its driver, the time and the record that authorised it.

What the gate checks.

Identity and an authorised collector. Quality and pre-delivery checks complete. No safety or custody hold. Receivables settled, or an explicit approval that covers the residual amount and who pays it. A valid token that has not been used.

Hold

Balance not settled. The cashier must confirm before exit.

GR 8812-19 Example vehicle. Collector: Ama Boateng.

Turn each open check on, then scan the token at the gate.

One token. One exit.

A used or revoked token cannot authorise a second exit. Revocation, a reversed payment or a new hold invalidates a token that has not been used.

At the gate.

Security sees eligibility, not invoices
The gate shows whether the car may leave, who is collecting and for which branch. It does not show invoice amounts or account balances.
Credit is a decision
A corporate or insurer account is an affirmative policy decision. It is never a loophole for an unpaid invoice.
Offline never opens the gate
Meludu does not authorise a vehicle exit offline, and never labels an offline scan as live-authorised. A separately approved continuity procedure covers outages, and it is recorded as an exception afterwards.
Reception without friction
Sign in on a tablet, with a QR code or with help from staff. A visitor without a phone is admitted through the assisted route and still appears in the host queue.

Coming in later releases

Pre-registration, badges, an emergency occupancy list, contractor induction and incident tracking.
