A car leaves with a gate pass.
A car leaves only with a pass that works once, and only when it is cleared.
The guard sees yes or no.
The gate shows whether the car may leave, who is collecting and for which branch. It does not show invoice amounts or balances.
What the gate checks.
For a repaired car, the quality check has passed and the invoice is paid. For a car you sold, the pre-delivery inspection has passed. The person collecting is the one named on the pass. And the pass has not been used.
Invoice not paid. The cashier must record the payment before the car leaves.
Turn each open check on, then scan the gate pass at the gate.
One gate pass. One exit.
A used pass cannot be used again, and finance can cancel an unused pass before the car leaves.
- Blocked until it is right
- Meludu will not issue a pass for a repaired car until the quality check has passed and the invoice is paid.
- Visitors sign in at the front desk
- Visitors are queued for their host, or book ahead and give a check-in code. A visitor without a phone is still admitted and still appears in the host’s queue.
- No connection, no exit
- Meludu clears a car only after a live check. It never shows an offline scan as cleared.
On the way
Planned, not built yet: recording every car in and out, including test drives, suppliers and courtesy cars; an unknown number plate held open until someone sorts it out; booking visitors in advance with badges; an emergency list of who is on site; contractor induction; and incident records.
